Online CAD File Viewer

Remarques
  • Load Times: Files > 5MB may take 30+ seconds to load.
  • Size Limit: < 150MB is highly recommended for optimal stability.
  • Complexity: Ultra-high polygon models may crash the tab (performance is hardware-dependent).

Multiple File Formats Supported

  • STL: The industry standard for manufacturing and 3D printing. Contains raw geometry only (no color), making it ideal for quick structural reviews, volume estimation, and watertight checks.
  • OBJ: A widely compatible 3D geometry format. Displays basic polygonal meshes for straightforward shape and structure evaluation.
  • GLTF / GLB: The standard for high-performance web 3D. Fully supports colors, complex materials, and PBR rendering. Note: You can drag and drop complete folders or ZIP files containing textures for a high-fidelity visual representation.
  • 3MF: An advanced 3D manufacturing format. Retains assembly hierarchies, multi-part structures, vertex colors, and basic material data for clear component separation.
  • STEP (.step / .stp): The core CAD format for CNC machining and engineering. Locally converted into a lightweight mesh for real-time browser viewing. Retains full assembly trees, making it perfect for visual inspection, quoting evaluation, and basic analysis (not for parametric editing).

Enterprise-Grade Security: 100% Local Processing

We understand that your CAD designs and 3D models contain highly sensitive Intellectual Property. Our viewer is built with absolute privacy by design:

  • Zero Server Uploads: Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any external server.
  • Local Browser Rendering: Powered by Three.js, all file parsing, geometry calculation, and 3D rendering happen strictly within your local device’s memory.
  • Offline Capable: For maximum security, you can open the viewer webpage, disconnect your device from the internet, and continue inspecting your files seamlessly.
  • Uncompromising IP Protection: Because no data ever leaves your machine, your proprietary engineering designs remain completely confidential and entirely under your control.

FAQ

Why HDC Manufacturing built this tool?

As a custom metal parts manufacturer, we regularly receive RFQs with 3D models in a wide variety of formats. We developed this online viewer to empower our customers to easily verify their designs before submission, while enabling our team to instantly grasp the project scope for faster and more accurate quoting.

No, it’s not recommended, this viewer is strictly for visual inspection and reference purposes. It cannot process, edit, or modify files, and the rendered models cannot be used for actual manufacturing or production. Please use professional 3D software to process your files for manufacturing.

Unlike formats built with flat triangles (like STL), STEP files use precise mathematical curves. Since web browsers cannot render these curves directly, our viewer must forcefully convert them into a triangle mesh to display them. This quick local conversion often causes rough edges or visual glitches. Rest assured, your original file remains perfectly accurate. This is just a rough visual preview and should not be used as an exact manufacturing reference.

For precise engineering checks and manufacturing references, please use professional 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ou Fusion 360).

Since our viewer processes files entirely within your local browser, there is no strict server upload limit. The actual capacity depends entirely on your device’s hardware (RAM and CPU). For the best and smoothest experience, we highly recommend keeping files under 150MB. Loading significantly larger files, or assemblies with extreme polygon counts, may exceed your browser’s memory limit and cause the tab to freeze or crash.
