Investment Casting Metal Parts Manufacturer
Casting is a versatile metal processing technology. HDC offer one stop investment casting to produce metal parts with complex geometries that other processes find hard to achieve—for example, internal cavities, complex curved surfaces, and thin-walled structures.
HDC is a professional investment casting company with a production capacity reaches 50,000 tons per year, famous for providing high-temperature alloy (Nickel-based, Cobalt-based, Iron-based), stainless steel, and alloy steel casting solutions.

Available Investment Casting Materials
As a metal casting foundry, HDC provides mainly three types of materials for casting, which include super alloy, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
Available Materials:
- Inconel 718: Nickel-based alloy, capable of prolonged operation below 1000°C, features high strength and fatigue resistance. Widely used in aircraft engines and gas turbines.
- Inconel 625: Nickel-based alloy, with excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature oxidation resistance, along with superior weldability, is commonly used in various pump bodies and valves
- Hastelloy X: Nickel-based alloy, resistant to carburizing, resistant to high temperature corrosion, often used in burner nozzles, heat exchange tubes and other components.
- Haynes 188: Cobalt-based alloys, resistant to oxidation and thermal shock, can be used at 980°C for a long time, and can withstand high temperatures up to 1150°C for a short time
- A286: Iron-based alloy, with a long-term service temperature of up to 700°C, is stable in oxidation and weak corrosion environments, and its strength is significantly improved after heat treatment.
These super alloys do have a good appearance in high-temperature environments, but this also makes them hard to cast. At HDC, we have rich experience in machining these special metals. By using the vacuum furnace, we heat them to 1550°C and prevent oxidation during casting.
Available Stainless Steel Grades:
- 304 Stainless Steel: 304 is a non-magnetic austenitic stainless steel, which is resistant to atmospheric, weak acid and fresh water corrosion, and is suitable for casting thin-walled, precision parts.
- 316 Stainless Steel: Because it contains 2-3% molybdenum, the corrosion resistance of 316 is significantly better than that of 304, especially in chloride-containing environments. At the same time, the high molybdenum content improves its fluidity at high temperatures, making it very suitable for casting.
- 410 Stainless Steel: 410 is a martensitic stainless steel, molybdenum-free, so the material cost is lower, and HRC 35-45 can be achieved by heat treatment, which is suitable for castings such as gears, knives and other castings used in mild corrosive environments.
- 420 Stainless Steel: 420 is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, with corrosion resistance better than 410, excellent wear resistance, and can reach HRC 50-55 after heat treatment.
- 2205 Stainless Steel: 2205 is a duplex stainless steel, with approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite. It has a very high yield strength (≥450 MPa), about twice that of 304, making it highly suitable for casting large valves and pump bodies.
HDC understands the characteristics of each type of stainless steel and uses them in casting with appropriate treatment. Take advantage of Investment Casting's near-net shape and high surface quality to significantly reduce subsequent machining and surface treatment costs
Available Grades:
- 1020: 1020 is a kind of mild steel, which is inexpensive, has excellent thermal processing properties, and is suitable for casting and complex shape parts, but requires additional surface anti-corrosion treatment.
- 1045: 1045 belongs to medium carbon steel, the tensile strength can reach 620 MPa, the strength can be improved by heat treatment, and it is suitable for casting parts bearing medium loads.
- 1095:1095 is a kind of high-carbon steel, the carbon content is between 0.90-1.03%, it has high hardness, excellent wear resistance, but brittleness, in the heat treatment process needs to strictly control the quenching cooling rate to avoid cracking.
HDC fabricates casting metal parts mainly using carbon steel. We handle the whole process from mold making, casting, to heat treatment, bringing casting parts of the best quality and competitive price.
Post Process for Metal Castings
HDC provides comprehensive heat treatment and surface finishing for metal casting parts to improve the mechanical performance and corrosion resistance.

Heat Treatment
Heat treatment is a must for most metal castings, it can effectively relieve stress and improve the performance of castings.

Sand Blasting
Sandblasting is commonly used to remove surface oxide layers and burrs from castings, preparing them for the next surface treatment process.

Bead Blasting
Beat blasting can improve the fatigue and stress corrosion resistance of metal cast parts, and bring a matte texture to the surface.

Polishing
HDC provides electrolytic and mechanical polishing to enhance the surface finish, aesthetics and functionality of castings.

Powder Coating
Power coating brings versatile colors for castings, enhancing corrosion resistance for materials like carbon steel and alloy steel.
