Typical Casting Parts HDC Provide

Below are the typical metal castings we fabricate.

Casting Process and Equipment

Find out our casting process and equipment, and get to know more about our capabilities.

With seven wax injection machines in four models, we can create wax patterns of various sizes. Our skillful operators can make and finishing wax patterns for over 500 pieces a day, ensuring the efficiency of mass production.

Multiple wax patterns are assembled on the central gating way, which is also made of wax. This process is also called treeing.

We use the dedicated mixer to mix the ceramic powder and water with binder to make slurry, and then dip the wax tree into the ceramic slurry to cover it evenly with a slurry layer.

Next, sprinkle a layer of refractory sand onto the wet ceramic layer. Repeat the slurry coating and stuccoing process for 4–6 times until it forms a solid shell. Finally, hang the wax tree with shells on the drying rack and wait for it to dry naturally.

Instead of burn-out dewaxing, we use the autoclave to steam and remove the wax tree. This ensures even heating and efficient removal without hurting the ceramic shell.

It’s also an environmentally friendly way to dewax, since it won’t release harmful gas, and the wax can be recovered at a high rate of 90%. After dewaxing, place the shell in a firing furnace to remove any remaining wax and enhance the shell’s strength—the preheated shell then waits for pouring metal into it.

We have a total of five melting furnaces, which include induction and vacuum melting furnaces. With max melting capabilities from 50kg to 250kg

After carefully pouring molten metal into the shell and waiting for it to sufficiently cool down, we use the vibrator to remove the ceramic shell. Then manually cut off the castings from the gating way.

After that, clean the surface and grind off any excess material to achieve a smooth finish.

We apply heat treatment processes like annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering, and aging to improve the internal metal structure and increase the overall strength and hardness of the castings.

After heat treatment, we use CNC machining to achieve the critical dimensions based on customer’s requirements. We have 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines, which can meet all precision machining needs.

With the comprehensive testing equipment, which includes: Spectrometer,  Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Line, Hardness Tester, Tensile tester, we test castings from raw material to final products to ensure the best quality.

The basic surface treatments we provide include sand blasting, bead blasting, and polishing. If you require other surface finishes, we can also offer powder coating, anodizing, painting, and more, with the support of our trusted partner network.
